A CASE STUDY BY LESLIE HINTON
Raising Awareness For Radiant Health Centers
The Client
Radiant Health Centers provides compassionate and comprehensive healthcare services, as well as general support for members of the LGBQ+ community in Orange County, California. I partnered with them to raise awareness for their annual Cirque Rouge and Mardi Gras Masquerade galas, among other projects.

Scope
The Solution
All of the designs centered around a circus theme that balanced drama and excitement with class and refinement. I aimed for something more playful and unexpected. In keeping with the circus theme, I created elegant invitations that emulated tickets to the circus, and stunning letterheads that resembled theater curtains arching across the page.

A series of posters show the movement and excitement of circus performers using dynamic poses and strong colors. This level of “drama” might not have worked for a corporate event, but since it was a special gala, I had the freedom to play with various creative design ideas. This playful approach allowed us to amp up the energy and grab the attention of our viewers.
TESTIMONIAL
"Leslie has been an amazing graphic art resource for our projects. All aspects of the projects benefited from her continuity of style and presentation. She is a delight to work with, especially when she turns my preliminary ideas into a reality better than I could ever have imagined! You will be making a wise choice when you choose her for your graphic arts/design projects, too!

In 2018, I used playful Mardi Gras themes to captivate the hearts of attendees and bring both excitement and sophistication to the gala.
Through creative exploration, I was able to bring fun and excitement to this campaign. Our creative collaboration contributed made these annual galas uniquely engaging and different from more staid corporate parties. The passion and creativity paid off as we succeeded in capturing the donors’ attention and they responded well to it. My clients were excited about each new visual direction for their events and I look forward to working with them again.
